Being an athlete isn't just about what happens in the gym or on the pitch; it's about adopting habits and standards to benefit every aspect of your busy life. Diving headfirst into this lifestyle can feel lonely, which is why we wanted to create a TEAM.
We offer three carefully designed programs, allowing you to embark on a journey from being a gym beginner to becoming a 365-day-a-year athlete.

I've been in the industry for over 5 years. I started coaching football and swimming before transitioning to the gym floor. I qualified from university with a Strength & Conditioning degree before launching my online coaching business.

My personal mission is to create a safe space for those who want to adopt a high-performance fitness lifestyle without the judgment of others.

I've been on my own journey of making mistakes. I've pushed myself to burnout with diets, suffered through overtraining, and faced judgment for wanting to do something different. But it's taught me so much and lit a fire in me to carefully design the TEAM I would have wished I had at my fingertips 5 years ago.

Our first mission is to get you a solid training program. Set a goal and start working. This will have you seeing results in no time and create a solid base to build on.
Enjoyment and steady progress with your training is priority at this level.

EMMA JACKSON
SPORTS THERAPIST
Emma has extensive experience working with professional athletes from various sports, including football, rugby, and CrossFit. She is highly focused on developing practical approaches to keep athletes active and moving, thereby supporting their mental well-being.
She collaborates with Team 9-5 as a sports therapist and is available at any time to offer advice on rehabilitation, warm-ups, mobility, and injuries. Emma also works externally with the team at Sattva Wellness in Forfar, where she provides in-person treatments with a small discount on the first visit for Team 9-5 members. In partnership with Ryan, she has successfully supported many clients by creating effective rehabilitation plans and helping them prevent future injuries.

FERGUS ALBERTS
PT & FOOTBALL SPECIALIST
Fergus joined Team 9-5 earlier this year and has since taken on the role of working with the majority of the footballers within the program. As a high-level footballer himself, having progressed through the youth ranks of Montrose, Cove Rangers, Inverurie Loco Works, and Turriff, and recently signed with Dyce Juniors, Fergus brings valuable firsthand experience.
He offers both online coaching and in-person personal training at Cargill's in Brechin. Currently, Fergus is accepting new clients for individual sessions, online coaching, and small group training (2-5 people). If you're interested, please get in touch.
Fergus is hardworking and driven, and he is committed to helping you achieve any goal you may have, whether football-related or otherwise.

Improving you as an athlete is one of our main priorities, whatever goal it is you have, we want you to squeeze the absolute most out of it. Improved body composition, improved performance and an improved mindset are crucial. Your body is the vessel that will take you on the mission.

Breaking down all the other aspects of your life is important as well. We look at nutrition, sleep, recovery, stress management and other habits which may be affecting the way you perform and feel. We want you to operate with energy and confidence in everything that you do.

Your training is important to us. But you’re more important. We adopt a person first approach at Team 9-5 Athlete. You’ll quickly realise that we have a great community and team ethos here. And we want you to be part of it. You don’t have to be my best friend, but I’ll sure as hell treat you like one.
